The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Coalition of Lebanon celebrate the King Holiday on the third Sunday and Monday in January each year. The King Holiday has been designated as National Day of Service - a call to our neighbors to honor Dr. King by pledging to make a difference for others and to strengthen our communities. We are encouraging the community to “make it a day on – not a day off.” Students can participate as youth volunteers and attend events as a way to earn their community service credit hours.

There are several ways to get involved:

Volunteers Needed:

Volunteers are needed to help with arts and crafts during the MLK Day of Service at the Countryside YMCA on Monday January 20, 2020 from 12 noon - 2 pm. This is a great opportunity for students to earn community service hours. To sign up, click the button below.

There are several volunteer opportunities to help with the MLK Celebration. We need volunteers to help with setting up chairs from 12 noon - 2 pm and tear down following the event at around 8:30 pm - 9 pm. Also students may attend the event and receive educational/community service hours if approved by their teacher for extra credit. To sign up, click the button below.
