MLK LEBANON WAS PROUD TO BE A SPONSOR OF
THE SPRINGBORO'S JUNETEENTH JUBILEE

The Springboro Juneteenth Jubilee was a family-friendly community celebration held on June 19, 2021, honoring the important day in our nation's history, June 19, 1865, when we all truly became free. On this day, the last slaves in Galveston, Texas were finally told of their freedom, nearly two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation had abolished slavery.

On this day, we celebrated our shared history, freedom, and continued commitment to equity and inclusion for all.

The Springboro Juneteenth Jubilee took place across three unique venues in Springboro, Ohio and included live music and performances, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, Underground Railroad tours, local food trucks, prizes, and more!
